She brought bags for all her friends with lanterns, gold coins & musical instruments.
She loves to wear her "silks". Saturday will be our big CNY celebration in Birmingham.
Last night the YW/YM in our ward were in a Mardi Gras parade. It was freezing but we had a good time!
We have had a very busy couple of weeks! Bill had surgery last week hoping to cure his sleep apnea. It has been a rough recovery but Isabelle has loved having her Daddy home all the time. He is feeling a little better today and even went back to work this morning. I hope you are feeling better soon sweetie!
Kaycie has been busy getting ready for The Sadies Hawkins Dance at school. She, being a working girl is flying in her "friend" Brian for the dance. He lives in Wasington and they have been good friends since 8th grade. He comes in town Friday and leaves Sunday. She has a beautiful dress and of course pictures will follow.
Ravyn has been busy with Softball. She made the High School Softball team and it keeps her busy every minute.
Yesterday we got exciting news. We received formal approval from the U.S. government to proceed with our adoption of Pan Xia --- soon to be known as Chloe. Now we wait for the Chinese government to give their final approval, and to invite us to travel. If things keep moving forward we should be in China in May!!! We have been so blessed in this adoption process and are reminded constantly how our Heavenly Father is in the details of our lives. We have been praying constantly for this process to be sped up as fast as possible. We don't want Pan Xia to be institutionalized one day longer than she has to. As we learned with Isabelle every day in an orphanage, even the best orphanages does damage. Everything so far is happening on the quick side of things and we feel so blessed for that! I can't even tell you how it feels to be so close to bringing another daughter home from China. It really helps put life in proper perspective. It helps you value and treasure the important things and people in your life. It also brings to the forefront the things that don't matter. We have learned the sad dichotomy that family is the most important thing and that blood somtimes means nothing.
We are feeling so grateful for our good friends and wonderful family who have loved and supported us through this journey to Chloe. We exceeded our goal this week for 100 squares & wishes for Chloe's 100 wish quilt. Thank you it will be so precious to Chloe someday.
