Isabelle had another “well baby” appointment yesterday. Just a checkup really, to see if she had gained any weight since her appointment in December. In December she weighed a little over 18 lbs and yesterday she weighed just over 20 lbs. Her doctor, one of the premier adoption specialists on the west coast, had been hoping for a more substantial weight gain. Isabelle is still well below where she should be on the weight and growth charts. But no luck. She remains just underneath the lower edges on the chart in both height and weight. We have tried everything, and she is a good eater. Not TOO picky anyway. She just doesn’t eat much. So now we see a geneticist next week for more tests, and it might end up that she is just going to be tiny. (Bill keeps saying "Can you say 'gymnastics'?") And that's OK as long as she is healthy!

Oh but she is just too dang cute. I like the size she is. You can take her anywhere.
